Joe Combest, CFP®

Joe began his career in the Financial Services industry in 1992 as an Investment Representative for Edward Jones Investments. He successfully established and grew the first Edward Jones Investments office in the Corona, California area.

In 1999 Joe affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services to build a practice that could offer full Financial Planning and Investment Advisory services from an independent and objective perspective. Also in 1999, Joe and his wife, Benay, established Combest Financial Services in order to provide high quality bookkeeping and payroll services to their small business clientele.

Prior to beginning a career in the Financial Services industry, Joe gained valuable business experience in the oil and gas industry in his home state of Oklahoma. He served his country as an Infantry Officer in the US Army and Army Reserves and then moved to California in 1989 where he served in the California Army National Guard until 1997.

Joe earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Geology at Oklahoma State University in 1982, then his MBA at the University of Oklahoma in 1987. Joe believes that continuing his education is critical to maintain his ability to provide a valuable service. He completed the Personal Financial Planning program at the University of California in Riverside and earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) credential in 2000. To maintain his competencies he completes at least 40 hours of continuing education every year.

In the summer of 2005 Joe moved back to his home town of Duncan, OK with his wife Benay, their eight year old daughter, Caitlin and their six year old son, Kyle.
